Holly is the great-granddaughter of Holocaust survivors; their legacy has shaped her love of Jewish learning and dedication to advocacy. She is the President of the Melbourne University Jewish Students’ Society (MUJSS). In this role, she advocates for Jewish university students, and works to create a proud and welcoming Jewish community on campus alongside the MUJSS executive. She also sits on the executive of the Victorian branch of the Australasian Union of Jewish Students (AUJS). Through AUJS, she has participated in various political and leadership seminars. Holly is passionate about Jewish education. She is a Madricha (leader) at Hineni; a Modern Orthodox, politically & socially active and Zionist youth movement that educates within a politically non-partisan framework. Through her role as a Madricha, she values the opportunity to foster a strong sense of Jewish and Zionist identity for Chanichim (participants). In addition, she is on the leadership team of ‘Zooz’, a youth-led organisation that provides a framework for meaningful engagement with Judaism, Israel and community. She has led B’nei Mitzvah programs in her community and loves her regular Talmud classes.
