Hannah Sarkin is in her final year of my Psychomotor Rehabilitation bachelor's degree at the University of Lisbon in Portugal. Being born in South Africa, and having lived in 5 cities all around the world; she has always played an active role in the various communities that she has found herself in. She likes to take on the responsibility of multiple leadership positions, such as being a leader in multiple youth movements but also being the Vice President of Jewish Youth of Portugal (JYP), which is the Portuguese Jewish Student Union. At JYP she is responsible for organizing all of the national and international events in addition to their social media presence, member acquisition and representing JYP at different events. She also plays an active role at the University of Lisbon as one of four students chosen to represent her year, as well as volunteering her time to help international students assimilate into life in Portugal. She is very proud of her identity and values, and for this reason is very active in the student democracy space, spending most of her time focusing on topics that impact the future of her community.
