The Entebbe Operation

On July 4, 1976, the Israel Defense Forces rescued 94 Israeli passengers and 12 crew members who had been taken hostage at the Entebbe Airport in Uganda. Traversing 4,000 kilometers and landing in hostile territory, it was one of the most daring rescue missions in history.
