WJC Launches an Initiative to Celebrate 75 Years of Israel

As Jewish people around the world celebrate 75 years of the State of Israel, the World Jewish Congress has teamed up with the Jewish National Fund (JNF-USA) to mark this momentous occasion. Together, we’re proud to announce the launch of the ‘Narrow Bridge’ project, an artistic initiative recognizing the diversity of our many communities.

Here’s what you need to know:

International singer Nicole Raviv has released a new rendition of the classic song Kol Ha’Olam Kulo Gesher Tzar Me’od (“The Whole Entire World is a Very Narrow Bridge”) featuring Israeli artist Yair Levi with lyrics sung in English, Hebrew, and Arabic.

Members of the public are invited to submit their own version of the ‘Narrow Bridge’ song sung in their respective native language for the opportunity to win a free trip to Israel where they’ll perform alongside Raviv and others at the Tel Aviv Museum on June 7th.

This project is about using our voices to celebrate the mosaic of Israel, showing that music can bridge divides and bring people closer together. Through the power of performance art, we hope to bring people together and inspire a sense of shared heritage and identity. We are a diverse and modern nation connected by ancient values like the words in this song.

We know that your communities are teeming with talented young individuals, so we’re asking you to share this unique initiative with your friends, families, and communities – and hope to see one of you on stage in Israel!
