The International Jewish Committee on Interreligious Consultations, IJCIC, has released a letter it received from Cardinal Walter Kasper, President of the Catholic Commission for Relations with the Jews, in response to concerns it had expressed on the revised prayer. Referring to the letter, the IJCIC Chair, Rabbi David Rosen, said that "While many of us will not consider his letter to adequately address all the implication of Pope Benedict's "new" prayer; I believe that the first paragraph of the second page of Kasper's letter is of much significance and offers avenues for advancing out of this imbroglio". The IJCIC is a coalition of Jewish organizations, including the WJC, representing world Jewry to other religions.
