A rabbi in the Serb part of Bosnia-Herzegovina has strongly condemned the emergence of posters in the town of Banja Luka entitled "The Truth about Srebrenica", which denies that Serb army soldiers committed a genocide against Muslims in Srebrenica in July 1995. The poster also contains a list of Jews who, the poster says, were involved in the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia and hostile activities against the Serb nation. Among others the list includes the former US secretary of state, Madeleine Albright, US General Wesley Clarke, former Governor of the National Bank of Yugoslavia Dragoslav Avramovic and the Belgrade professor Milan Bulajic. Rabbi Atijas told the Bosnian news agency FENA that such assertions were not conducive to reconciliation, coexistence and prosperity in the region. "I hope that officials from all Jewish communities in Bosnia-Herzegovina and Serbia-Montenegro will react. The European and World Jewish Congress will definitively tackle these issues," Rabbi Atijas was quoted by FENA as saying.
