Kristina Köhler, a German member of parliament for the opposition party CDU, has received open threats from the radical Turkish newspaper "Vakit". Vakit called Ms Köhler "a Zionist pawn" and wrote "the nerves of this woman must be very strained", adding that "hopefully she has got that message". The member of the Bundestag for the city of Wiesbaden has come under attack after filing a complaint against the newspaper for Holocaust denial. In an earlier article, "Vakit", Turkey's ninth-largest newspaper and also widely distributed in Germany, had written:"The truth is: There was no Holocaust. The so-called gas chambers are also a lie. This is nothing but Zionist music." Now, the paper wrote under a photo of Ms Köhler: "Where Adolf Hitler stopped Kristina Köhler starts."
