New WJC Report Documents Rise in Online Hate Since October 7th Attack

"A Flood of Hate: How Hamas Fueled the Adversarial Information Ecosystem on Social Media," exposes the use of internet and social media platforms by supporters of terror to encourage a surge of antisemitic hate speech on online platforms since October 7. The report highlights the worrying spread of violent and banned content.

What you can do

Come Together

Offer to organize a local meeting of Jewish community members to discuss what is going on in Israel. This can be done in your home or your local Jewish community, pending local security and other considerations. This can be done under the umbrellas and with the support of the Jewish Unity Salons as a part of the Jewish Leadership Bridge. For support on this, please contact a member of the NextGen or Jewish Diplomatic Corps staff.

Voice Concerns to Administrators

Following the brutality of the terrorist attacks on October 7th, Jewish students on campus are under attack by their peers and professors, who are openly celebrating and praising the terrorists' attacks, minimizing Jewish pain, and rejecting Israel’s right to defend itself and exist. Support Jewish students by sending an email to university administrators voicing your concern about rising antisemitism.

In times of war, embracing one's Jewish identity with pride becomes a source of strength and unity for the community. Being a proud Jew honors our heritage and resilience, reminding us of our shared history and the importance of solidarity.
