Mickey Bergman is the CEO of Global Reach and Vice President of the Richardson Center for Global Engagement. He has championed the release of political prisoners and hostages worldwide, including Paul Whelan, Brittney Griner, Trevor Reed, and Danny Fenster. Author of In the Shadows: True Stories of High-Stakes Negotiations to Free Americans Captured Abroad, Mickey was honored in 2023 with the James W. Foley Legacy Foundation's American Hostage Freedom Award. His past roles include work with the Aspen Institute and Clinton Global Initiative.
