Dr. Efrat Shaoulian-Sopher is Chair of the Ezri Centre for Iran and Gulf States Research and serves as a governor of the University of Haifa.
Efrat is a foreign policy and security expert on Iran and the wider Middle East. A frequent commentator on Sky News, the BBC World Service, and LBC, Efrat founded Ezri Strategic Consultancy.
Efrat actively serves on the Executive Committee and JD Corps of the World Jewish Congress and has represented the WJC globally. Efrat was the first female Vice President of the S&P Sephardi Community and is a Deputy at the BoD. Efrat serves on the Council of President Isaac Herzog’s Voice of the People initiative. Holding a Ph.D. and MSc from the London School of Economics and Political Science and being a qualified solicitor, Efrat researches and writes on foreign policy matters relating to Iran and the Gulf, fostering interfaith relations, and battling antisemitism.
