Dan currently serves as Chief of Staff to Delegate Linda Foley in the Maryland General Assembly. He is also the founding Executive Director of Friends of JCC Budapest, a registered 501(c)(3) organization in the United States. Previously, he was a JDC Global Jewish Service Corps Fellow in Budapest, Hungary working with JCC Budapest on global partnerships and US engagement efforts. Dan was primarily focused on expanding partnerships in the United States, raising funds for local operational efforts, and building relationships with other JCCs throughout Central and Eastern Europe.
Prior to living in Budapest, Dan was a legislative aide for Delegate Linda Foley in the Maryland General Assembly. He oversaw various pieces of legislation and constituent outreach services that focused on the environment, transportation, and labor issues. While in University, Dan was the Student Body President at the University of Maryland where he represented over 30,000 students. During his term, he managed a seventeen-member cabinet, served on dozens of committees and task forces across campus, and oversaw a $3,000,000 budget to support student services across campus.
Dan was a Lauder Fellow in the second cohort and is now a member of the World Jewish Congress JD Academy. He is honored to now serve on the World Jewish Congress Executive Committee.
