A dedicated Jewish leader and advocate, Dr. Andrei Iosef Schwartz has over two decades of experience in global Jewish diplomacy, community leadership, and strategic advocacy. As a co-founder and, later, Steering Committee member of the WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps, he has led efforts against antisemitism, defended Israel’s legitimacy, and represented WJC at the UN, OSCE, and global forums. He chairs the Anti-BDS Task Force and spearheads advocacy for hostages held in Gaza.
Beyond WJC, Andrei co-founded the Romanian Zionist Association, served on the Board of the Federation of Jewish Communities of Romania and of KolDor and has worked extensively to strengthen Jewish communities and the State of Israel. Committed to expanding engagement in global Jewish advocacy, he seeks to ensure the next generation plays an active role in shaping WJC’s future under Amb. Ronald S. Lauder’s leadership.
