NEW YORK - The World Jewish Congress has been given a coveted four-star rating by Charity Navigator, America's largest charity evaluator, which appraises the financial health, accountability and transparency of more than 8,000 major US-based charities. This is the fifth year in a row that the WJC has received this rating.
In a letter to the WJC, Charity Navigator President and CEO Michael Thatcher wrote:
“This is our highest possible rating and indicates that your organization adheres to sector best practices and executes its mission in a financially efficient way. Attaining a 4-star rating verifies that World Jewish Congress - American Section exceeds industry standards and outperforms most charities in your area of work.
World Jewish Congress CEO and Executive Vice President Robert Singer said: “There is no doubt that the financial health and success of the World Jewish Congress is a direct result of the professionalism and dedication consistently shown by our lay leadership, professional staff, and affiliated community directors. We look forward to continuing our great work together, in full accountability and transparency, to ensure that our global community of Jews around the world continues to thrive and grow.”
