NEW YORK – Following a deadly shooting at a bus stop in Jerusalem, which has killed at least six individuals and left seven more in critical condition, the World Jewish Congress (WJC) released the following statement:
“This morning’s terror attack in Jerusalem is a deadly reminder of the grave threats Israel’s citizens face every day. Whether the attackers acted alone or as part of a larger network, it is evident that the same hatred that fueled the October 7 massacre has not gone away. The fact that there have not been more large-scale attacks is a testament to the constant vigilance and professionalism of Israel’s security services and the IDF.
“Palestinian leaders must ensure that these murderers and their families are neither rewarded nor glorified, and the international community must hold them to account. As the UN General Assembly approaches, securing the release of the remaining hostages and ending these acts of terror must be the top priority of world leaders.”
