World Jewish Congress President Ronald S. Lauder issued the following statement condemning the incidents in which Jewish youths in Jerusalem spat at Christian pilgrims:
"It's disheartening to witness disrespect based on religious differences, as seen in the video where people, including children, spat at Christians in Jerusalem. Such actions go against the values of tolerance and respect we should uphold in a diverse society. It's encouraging that Israeli officials, including those from the Haredi community, have condemned these acts, emphasizing that they don't align with Jewish tradition or religious duty. Let's promote open dialogue and understanding among faith communities for a more harmonious coexistence in the holy land and globally."
