NEW YORK — Phil Rosen, chair of the World Jewish Congress – American Section, released the following statement:
“We commend the United States for standing shoulder to shoulder with Israel in the face of an existential threat. By joining efforts to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities, the United States is affirming its role as a global leader in defending freedom, democracy, and the Jewish people.
“We applaud President Donald Trump for his bold and decisive leadership in this moment of historic consequence. His clear-eyed understanding of the Iranian threat and his unwavering commitment to Israel’s security reflect a moral clarity that has too often been absent on the world stage.
“We also salute Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for his steadfastness and courage in the defense of the Jewish state. For decades, he has warned the world about the dangers of a nuclear Iran. That leadership has proven prescient.
“The World Jewish Congress - American Section stands united with the governments of the United States and Israel. We pray for the safety of all involved and urge the international community to recognize the necessity and justice of this response.”
