Police in the Spanish city of Barcelona have arrested six people linked to a Nazi-inspired political party on charges of defending genocide. Authorities said on Tuesday that the accused were all members of the National European State party (ENE), and worked for a racist and anti-Semitic magazine called "Intemperie". The publication, which has a bi-monthly circulation of about 500 copies, has been around since 1999. It lauds the policies of Adolf Hitler and is known for its stances against immigrants, blacks, Jews and homosexuals. The arrests followed a year-long investigation into the group, which police learned about from its website and its magazine. More arrests were possible, the police said. The investigating judge has the right to close the magazine and the website.
