Ricky Martin wants to end Arab stereotypes 

The famous pop star Ricky Martin has said that he would try to change negative stereotypes of Arabs. The "Associated Press" reported on Monday that Martin, a United Nations Children’s Fund Goodwill Ambassador who is currently on his first trip to the Middle East, had vowed to forge friendships with Arab youth by spending time with them. Martin also said he is planning a concert tour of the Middle East and North Africa in May 2006. “I promise I will become a spokesperson, if you allow me to, a spokesperson on your behalf. I will defend you and try to get rid of any stereotypes,” the singer said.
