Following an article by World Jewish Congress general counsel Menachem Rosensaft in the 'New York Daily News', a Holocaust-denying internet forum has been deleted from the website of the American politician and former contender for the Republican Party's nominee for US president, Patrick Buchanan. His official website 'Buchanan.org' hosted for registered users a long discussion thread in which Holocaust revisionists compared notes with each other and attacked Jews. It was entitled "Discussion about 'The Holocaust'. Hours after Rosensaft's article was published, the forum disappeared from the website.
In the forum, one contributor wrote: "Kosher and Halal ritual slaughter, belong in the Middle East sands, where both barbaric practices were begun, after an instruction to the Hebrews and Islamics by their god voices, probably the same one. It's a pity they cannot cut each others' throats." Another writer stated, "We have known for some time that the Auschwitz myth is of an exclusively Jewish origin."
Pat Buchanan, a Catholic, has a background as an arch-conservative with strong positions against homosexuality and immigration. However, he is also an opponent to the war in Iraq and a proponent of a Palestinian state.
