Peace in Our Schools, a program of NextGenInc., organized the Peace4All Summit – engaging Georgian and Ukrainian youth, and workshops on Peacebuilding, Conflict Resolution, and Interfaith Dialogue with a group of Russian youth activists in exile in Tbilisi, Georgia, from November 15-20, 2023. The Peace4All Summit brought together around 20 participants from various spheres (Civil Society, Academia, and U.N) and different backgrounds: Muslims, Jews, and Christians. The Summit included lectures, activities, and a panel discussion with experts on peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and emotional intelligence.
Secondly, the project organized two days long workshops with a group of 12 activists from Russia, who fled to Georgia after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. Some of these activists – now in exile, were prisoned for their support of Ukraine, opposing the war, and as well as standing for democracy and freedom in Russia before fleeing to Georgia.
Peace in Our Schools is an interfaith and peacebuilding initiative that brings people and communities from different faiths and backgrounds together to make the world a more peaceful place, where peace, tolerance, respect, and compassion are the norm, rather than the exception.
