A skinhead supporter convicted of operating neo-Nazi websites has been handed a three-year suspended prison sentence by the Czech Supreme Court. The young man and another supporter of a Czech skinhead movement were charged with launching a site that praised Adolf Hitler and called for the liquidation of Jews and Gypsies, the Czech news agency CZK reported. The two supporters had appealed their conviction but it was upheld.
Meanwhile, a court in the eastern German city of Dresden handed down jail sentences of three and three-and-a-half years respectively to two brothers aged 20 and 23 who belong to a banned neo-Nazi group for their part in politically inspired acts of violence. The 20-year-old is already serving a jail term for a different crime. Although the prosecution had charged the accused with membership of a criminal organization, the court passed the sentences for assault and damage to property, following a lengthy trial that began in April.
