The state of Missouri is to sue a website collecting donations for victims of Hurricane Katrina set up by a known neo-Nazi. The state Attorney General said on Wednesday that a lawsuit would be lodged against InternetDonations.org and its apparent operator Frank Weltner, a radio talk show host with ties to neo-Nazi organizations and the notorious website JewWatch.com.
According to the New York Times the lawsuit seeks to freeze the assets of Internet Donations Inc., a nonprofit entity registered with the Missouri secretary of state's office by Weltner on Friday, and to shut down the dozen or so Web sites with names like KatrinaFamilies.com, KatrinaDonations.com and NewOrleansCharities.com. Those sites appear to have been hastily registered and mounted since Hurricane Katrina devastated large swaths of the Gulf Coast last week.
