A gun which may have belonged to Adolph Hitler has been put up for auction on a US based website. The rare Krieghoff Drilling shotgun engraved with the initials 'A.H.' is being sold by an Illinois pawn shop on behalf of an anonymous owner. There is no proof that the gun is actually connected to the infamous dictator although the makers are known to have given engraved guns to Hitler and other high-ranking German officials as it sought military contracts before World War II. The owners have said that they will donate a portion of sale price to bodies fighting anti-Semitism. The gun has already attracted bids valuing it at twice what it would be without the possible connection to Hitler.
