Israel's permanent representative to the United Nations, Dan Gillerman, sent a letter to UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan protesting Iranian President Ahmadinejad's recent comments calling for the destruction of the Jewish state. Gillerman stated that Ahmadinejad's remarks constituted a breach of international law and the principles of the UN Charter. Jewish communities can urge their governments to echo Gillerman and condemn Ahmadinejad's anti-Semitic comments and incitement to genocide.
