A court in the German city of Nuremberg has fined the 36-old attorney of a neo-Nazi defendant € 2,250 (US$ 2,700) for presenting inciteful material while defending his client, in a different court. According to media reports, the lawyer's writ had contained the phrase "It is not possible to speak of the genocide of the Jews as being manifest." The lawyer had questioned if a paragraph in the German criminal code, which prohibits public denial of the Shoah, was constitutional. Ordering the attorney to pay the fine, the judge said: "I don't know if you belong to right-wing circles yourself or if you have just done a bad job." He reminded the lawyer that he had been instructed by the judge in the original case not to embrace the thinking of his client.
