The publicist and professor of education Micha Brumlik is to resign from his honorary post as director the Frankfurt-based Fritz Bauer Institute. The Institute, named after the state prosecutor in the Auschwitz trials of the 1960s, Fritz Bauer, was founded in 1995 and specializes in research on the Holocaust. Brumlik said he wanted to return to his academic work. A successor has not yet been named by the board of the Institute.
