The controversial British Member of Parliament (MP) George Galloway has strongly denied he is in anyway anti-Jewish. He was speaking during a libel action in which he is suing the Daily Telegraph' newspaper over its reports that he had he received £375,000 from Saddam Hussein. Mr. Galloway demanded barrister James Price withdraw his "accusation of anti-Semitism" after the barrister implied that the MP believed the newspaper was opposed to his views on the middle-east because the owners' wife was Jewish. Mr. Price then produced a letter in which Mr. Galloway wrote that the papers owner, Lord Black, and his wife were "two of (Ariel) Sharon's Israel's most vociferous supporters". Mr. Galloway responded that the letter made no mention of the word 'Jewish' and denied he was anti-Semitic.
