The president of the University of Lyon III, Guy Lavorel, has asked the French Education Minister to sack Bruno Gollnisch, the number two in command of the right-wing National Front party, from his post as lecturer for Japanese and Law at Lyon III. Gollnisch on Monday said in a press conference that historians had every right to discuss the "concentration drama" and made other statements perceived as anti-Semitic and revisionist. Meanwhile, the chairman of the " League Against Racism and Anti-Semitism", Patrick Gaubert, has written a letter to president of the European Parliament, Josep Borrell, suggesting that Gollnisch, a member of the European assembly, be reprimanded for his "words of denial" (of the Shoah).
