WJC to host parallel event highlighting the role of women in faith-based organizations at CSW65  

On Tuesday, 16 March, the World Jewish Congress, together with ACT Alliance, Global One, Muslims for Progressive Values, Religions for Peace and the Tanenbaum Center for Interreligious Understanding, will host a parallel event to the sixty-fifth session of the United Nations' Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) to discuss The Role of Women in Faith Based Organizations.  

The panel event will celebrate the diversity of opinions among women in faith-based organizations, and acknowledge the challenges faced by religious women, as well as address how to overcome these challenges going forward.

About the Commission on the Status of Women
The Commission evaluates progress in gender equality, identifies challenges, sets global standards and formulates concrete policies to promote gender equality and advance the cause of women worldwide. The sixty-fifth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW65) will take place from 15 to 26 March 2021 in a hybrid format with mostly virtual meetings.
