Yohan Benizri

Nomination for Ad Personam Executive Committee Members
5 individuals to be elected

Bio

At 38, Yohan Benizri still combines a demanding career as an international trade lawyer based in Brussels with a continuous Jewish engagement both at the national level (as President of the Belgian branch of the World Jewish Congress) and at the international level (he was elected as a VP of the World Jewish Congress at the 15th WJC Plenary Assembly in New York and is also a member of the WJC JD Corps). He has experience in diplomatic outreach, public advocacy and litigation on behalf of Jewish communities. He writes and speaks regularly on issues related to the security, rights and values of the Jewish people. Importantly, together with a world-class consultancy, he designed, launched and implemented a community continuity plan (Atidenu - the McKinsey of the Jewish People).

Candidate statement

“We are responsible for one another. We can only succeed as a diverse yet united community. I would like to contribute my skills, experience and networks towards our common goals. I would like to continue serving this amazing organization and take an even more active part in our diplomatic activities.

In 2017, you were kind enough to trust me and I became a Vice President of the World Jewish Congress as a 34 year-old. I worked everyday to prove you made the right call. I hope you will give me an opportunity to do it again.”
