Adela is one of the most active members of the Jewish Community in Mexico. She has been involved in different organizations in the Jewish life nationally and internationally. Through her passionate work, she has impacted the development of the Jewish Community of Mexico and Jewish life in Latin America.
The last year events have shown us that even when time has changed, we still can see the virus of the anti-Semitism walking around. That’s why through the Executive Committee of the WJC, Adela compromise to promote a peaceful upcoming for the Jewish communities worldwide and Israel.
She wants to bring her experience into the Word Jewish Congress in order to:
Combat anti-Semitism, anti-Zionism and Holocaust Denial through education.
Empower Jewish youth
Promote Gender equality
Currently she works as:
- Chair of the Instruments of Hope Foundation
- Board Member of Monte Sinai Jewish Community in Mexico
- Executive Committee of the Zionist Council of Mexico
- Activist in Tribuna Israelita
- Activist in the Central Committee of the Jewish Community of Mexico
- Activist in the Mexican Women's Federation
- Member of the Jewish Diplomatic Corps Co-Chair of the Holocaust Legacy Working Group and Member of the Leadership Bridge group and Leadership Bridge group and the Diversity in Leadership plan
- Advisor at WUJS for Latin American affairs
- Founder, former Vice-President and advisor of the Federation of Young Jews of Latin America
- Founder, former Vice-President and advisor of the Mexican Federation of Jewish Youth
Adela holds a bachelors degree in education and a Master degree in Human Studies.
She´s happily married and is a mother of three kids
