WJC Elevate, a network for Jewish leaders aged 15-45, marked the October 7th Hamas attacks' anniversary through global diplomatic, media, and memorial activities. They advocated for 101 hostages' release, honored victims, and supported Jewish students on campuses.
WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps met with Argentine and Czech diplomats, expressing gratitude for supporting Israel and Jewish communities amid rising antisemitism. They also conducted a media campaign in 19 countries and 11 languages, highlighting hostages' plight and increasing antisemitism.
WJC NextGen organized campus vigils and worked with officials to address issues affecting Jews in Israel and the Diaspora.

Moderated by JD Dor Malul, the event provided a solemn space for remembrance. Consul General Ofir Akunis emphasized the importance of collective memory in preserving the stories of those lost and underscored the role of community support in the healing process.

Rabbi Joni Shalom led prayers at Argentina's October 7 commemoration ceremony, held with thousands gathering in the streets of Buenos Aires. Rabbi Shalom took the stage to recite “El Maleh Rajamim” in Spanish, honoring the victims of the attack.
JD Vivianne Tesone played a key role in organizing Colombia’s October 7 commemoration ceremony. As part of the event, she delivered a heartfelt speech from the podium, contributing to meaningful remembrance for the community.

In coordination with the Latin American Jewish Congress, DAIA, and the Federation of Jewish Communities in the Czech Republic, the WJC's regional and local affiliates, the WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps is in the midst of a global diplomacy campaign to thank Argentina and the Czech Republic for their steadfast support of Israel and their Jewish communities during these historically difficult times and to explore ways to collaborate in an effort to bring about the immediate and unconditional release of the 101 hostages held by Hamas in Gaza.
The Jewish Diplomatic Corps has met with Argentinian and Czech diplomats in Brussels, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London, Madrid, Montevideo, New York, São Paulo, Stockholm, and Tel Aviv. JDCorps members also sent 60 diplomatic letters expressing WJC’s gratitude to diplomatic missions for both nations in 35 different cities across 20 countries. Additional meetings will soon take place across the globe.
