The story Eli Cohen, Israel’s most famous secret agent
Nearly 60 years after he was killed in Syria, the Mossad revealed further information about Israeli spy Eli Cohen. Cohen's last cable back to Israel, dated January 1965, has been intercepted by Syrian intelligence, leading to his capture.
The intelligence that Cohen gathered while undercover in Syria is said to have been instrumental in helping Israel win the Six-Day War in 1967.
