The Nazi book burnings: A history of hatred

90 years ago, on May 10, 1933, the Nazis burned more than 25,000 volumes of "un-German" books in the square in front of the State Opera in Berlin. Many other German cities and towns did the same. The Nazi book burnings symbolically marked the censorship, intolerance, and terror of the Nazi regime.
