Remembering the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising

In the spring of 1943, the Jewish underground resistance in the Warsaw Ghetto launched an uprising against the Nazis. It held out for nearly a month. By May 16, 1943, the Nazis reported that "the former Jewish Quarter in Warsaw is no more.”
