Rebecca Newberger Goldstein is a philosopher, novelist, and public intellectual. She graduated summa cum laude from Barnard College and went on to earn her Ph.D. in philosophy from Princeton University. Rebecca is the author of numerous works including The Renegade Jew Who Gave Us Modernity, Plato at the Googleplex: Why Philosophy Won't Go Away, and Thirty-Six Arguments for the Existence of God: A Work of Fiction. Rebecca’s achievements have been widely recognized with honors such as the Whiting Writers’ Award, two National Jewish Book Awards, and fellowships from the MacArthur Foundation and Guggenheim Foundation. She is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and has served on the World Economic Forum's Council on Values. In September 2015, Rebecca was awarded the National Humanities Medal by President Obama in a ceremony at the White House.
