A native of Kyiv, Ukraine, Victoria participates, organizes, initiates and run Ukrainian and international projects (both Jewish and non-Jewish) related to leadership, education and culture/heritage, advocacy, multicultural dialogue. Victoria is an established leader, with a track record of building and managing strong stakeholder relationships. Great experience of leading organisations and liaising with the diplomatic missions and governmental institutions. She is also a devoted networker and innovator.
She was awarded with President and Governor scholarships, has Master’s degrees with honors in engineering.
Victoria’s areas of work and professional interests include: education – both formal and non-formal (she has experience working at the national university for 10 years), public diplomacy and policy making, youth and women empowerment and leadership. Currently she is development director of a nationwide public expert association that seeks information, education and policymaking work in such areas as energy efficiency, environment and climate change; supporting the implementation of the 2030 Agenda and SDGs; energy transition and diplomacy.
Victoria is extremely involved in Jewish communal and organizations life both locally and globally and plays an active role in the development and implementation of new ideas. Years of experience brought her confidence and expertise in maintaining different Jewish activities and ability to build bridges and create a strong network worldwide.
She started her way in conscious Jewish life right after the collapse of the USSR when she as a small girl was brought by parents to the first Sunday Jewish School opened in independent Ukraine. She is thankful to the community leadership for empowering her as a young leader and support of the beginnings.
Godik was first elected to the executive board of Association of Jewish Organizations and Communities of Ukraine in 2010 and proved her leadership. Victoria is one of the founding members of ZFU, she was the Executive director, President and Chair of the Board of UUJS, EUJS Vice President and has been UUJS representative to WUJS Executive, both for 2 consecutive terms. Under her chairpersonship UUJS received the First Annual WUJS Award. She has been Chair of Supervisory Board of UUJS since 2017. Therefore Victoria is very committed to the support of students led initiatives and programs to empower Jewish youth. Victoria contribute a lot to the realization of projects related to the Holocaust remebrance, combating Holocaust distortion and education. She believes that lack of education is a key root of many problems.
In 2012, she co-initiated the organizing Committee of Youth board of the EAJC. Victoria also served as EAJC revision commission member for a few years.
Victoria is an active and proud member of the WJC Jewish Diplomatic Corps and has represented the WJC worldwide. Her activities in this capacity among others include: outreach working group co-chairmanship and membership in other working groups, task force for diplomatic campaigns, antisemitism reporting task force, diversity in leadership task force, co-leading development of mentoring projects, WJC JDcorps delegate to the UN 65th Session on CSW. She is proud of being a part of this flagship WJC program and is making every effort to develop it.
