Two historians working in Germany have claimed that one of the thousands of mentally ill people killed by the Nazi's was a relative of Adolf Hitler. The researchers, from the Obersalzberg Institute in Berchtesgaden, say that a woman related to Hitler but identified only as Aloisia V., was 49 when she was gassed in December 1940, at an institution in the northern Austrian city of Linz. It is unclear whether the dictator was aware of his relative's fate.
