The Labour party of UK Prime Minister, Tony Blair, has dropped two proposed election posters have they were widely criticized for being anti-Semitic. The posters featured the leader of the opposition, Michael Howard, who is Jewish, swinging a pocket watch on a chain and with his head pasted onto the body of a flying pig. The posters had been put on the party's website for members to vote on. A spokesman for the party denied the images were anti-Semitic while acknowledging that "concern is being expressed and clearly you have to take those views on board". He added that party members had, in any case, overwhelmingly chosen another poster accusing the opposition of adding two and two to make five.
