On 28 May 2023, Start-Up Nation Mentorship (SUNM) hosted approximately 120 of its Israeli mentors, partners, and industry leaders for an evening of inspiration, education, and networking. With the support of WJC NextGen, since 2018 SUNM has paired over 1,000 extraordinary student leaders with Israeli executives from a wide range of industry and government positions, which has allowed them to develop meaningful, lasting relationships with individuals at the center of the dynamic global economy.
The evening provided a way for SUNM to not only celebrate milestones from previous years, but connect with more senior leaders in Israel, expose itself to future partners, and propel forward its mission.
Members of SUNM’s global executive and board, namely, Chairman & Co-Founder Adam Shapiro, Vice Chairman Ben Spilg, Chief Executive Officer Daniella Springer, Chief Product Officer Jaime Leo Mizrachi, and Co-Founder Dr. Justin Shapiro, shared achievements from the past year as well as goals for the future. This past semester, SUNM paired 200+ mentees, putting the total number of mentees since its founding at over 1,000.
Long-standing mentor of SUNM Mickey Raviv, CEO of CAF Israel, reflected on his experience with the program and applauded it for providing participants with the opportunity to gain experience within Israel’s growing commercial and geopolitical ecosystem.
