A self -proclaimed neo-Nazi has been arrested for allegedly planning to attack synagogues and other targets, according to federal prosecutors.
Last month police discovered explosives belonging to Brandon Russell after responding to a shooting at his apartment. According to the Associated Press, police found a picture of Oklahoma City bomber Timothy McVeigh in his room along with HMTD, an explosive, and other equipment that could be used to construct an explosive devise.
The roommate, Devon Arthurs, who shot and killed two other residents of the apartment over a religious dispute, alleged that Russell was planning a string of attacks. When Russell was subsequently arrested police found rifles and hundreds of rounds in his car.
Security has been beefed up in many Jewish communities across the United States following a string of bomb threats, most of which were later revealed to have been perpetrated by a mentally unstable American-Israeli teenager.
