A US$ 50,000 reward is being offered for help in the arrest and conviction of the whomever threw a Molotov cocktail at a Jewish community center in the San Fernando Valley, California, the Los Angeles-based 'Daily News' reports. The building at the Bernard Milken Jewish Community Campus in West Hills was not damaged during the attack, which happened in the early hours of 18 February. The firebombing is being investigated as a hate crime. Councilman Dennis Zine, who represents the area, is sponsoring the reward approved by the City Council last week.
Surveillance footage shows a person throwing an incendiary device against the front wall of the community center. The person is described by police as 18 to 20 years old and white, with a thin build and wearing a light-colored hooded sweat jacket. A second suspect, a white man, estimated at the same age, is described as having a thin build and short dark hair. He was wearing a white tank top, light-colored pants and white shoes.
