Judge loses in Ten Commandments case

The US Supreme Court has refused to hear a case brought by a senior Alabama judge contesting his removal from office for refusing to take down a "Ten Commandments" monument from a judicial building. In response to the decision, the former judge Roy Moore said, "God is sovereign and shall remain so, despite what the Supreme Court and the federal district courts of this land say."
