Rabbi Dr. Leon Feldman of New York, a former professor for Hebraic Studies at Rutgers University and secretary of the International Committee for Interreligious Consultations (IJCIC), has passed away. The World Jewish Congress (WJC) praised his work in the field of inter-religious dialogue, notably in relations with the Catholic Church. "Leon Feldman was a regular participant in early inter-faith meetings, often representing the World Jewish Congress, and he will be sadly missed," WJC secretary general Michael Schneider said.
