The graphic violence in the Mel Gibson successful movie "Passion of the Christ" has been toned down for a re-release in cinemas at Easter in Britain. Gibson has agreed to an edited version of the original hitting big screens for those who were too sensitive to see it first time around. Six minutes of the film's most gory scenes have been cut, allowing cinemas to show it to 15-year-old youths, too, and not only to adults. The new cut also uses different camera angles to show less blood and gore in the graphic scenes of the torture and crucifixion of Jesus. Gibson said: "I hope to cater to those people that perhaps might not have seen the original because of its intensity or brutality." The movie caused controversy when it opened last year as critics said its depiction of Jews was anti-Semitic.
