The US President George W. Bush has called on the world to unite in the fight anti-Semitism and never forget the Holocaust, in which six million European Jews died during World War II. In a declaration delivered by US vice-President Dick Cheney to the Polish President, Aleksander Kwasniewski, on Wednesday, Bush said "It is a reminder that when we find anti-Semitism, we must come together to fight it." The statement went on to say that Auschwitz was "a sobering reminder of the power of evil and the need for people to oppose evil wherever it exists," and that "We must never forget the cruelty of the guilty and the courage of the victims at Auschwitz and other Nazi concentration camps".
