A Paris judge has ordered Kemi Seba, the leader of a banned extremist black power group Tribu-Ka, to shut down his Internet website within two days because of its anti-Semitic content. Monday’s decision came after a lawsuit brought by several French Jewish groups. Seba will be forced to pay a fine if he does not close down his site within 48 hours, the judge said. Any delay would carry a € 1,500 fine per day. The Union of Jewish Students in France (UEJF) was one of the organizations that had called for Kemi Seba’s personal website, which the group’s lawyer said was "marked with the hatred of Jews on every page", to be banned. Keba had appeared last week before a French court to defend himself against charges of anti-Semitism over the contents of his website. Tribu-Ka was outlawed last July by the French authorities after its members descended in May on a Paris Jewish quarter, wielding baseball bats and shouting anti-Semitic slogans. More than 20 members of the group walked up and down the street, performing Nazi salutes, looking for a fight with the neighborhood’s Jews, and threatening and intimidating them.
