Bio

Tamara was born and raised in Ottawa and has been actively engaged as a lay leader in the community locally, nationally and internationally for several years. She has studied and worked in Europe, Latin America, and the United States of America. She holds a Master of Arts in International Affairs from the Norman Patterson School of International Affairs and an MBA in Global Management from Thunderbird, School of Global Management.
Tamara is a past Chair of the Young Adult Division of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa (2007) and a past Chair of jnet (2011). She also co-chaired Ottawa’s Social Action Mission to Israel in 2010. She represented the Emerging Generation on the Board of Directors of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa (2011-2013) and served on the Board of Directors for the Soloway JCC (2013) as well as the WJC Canadian affiliate CIJA (2017-2018) where she was also the co-chair of the organization's Young Leaders Circle. Tamara was also on the International Steering Committee for Dragon Boat Israel (2014-2015), co-chair of the Jewish Federation of Ottawa’s Campaign Kick-off (2015) and currently sits on the Partnership Together Committee, the Community Relations and Communications Committee, is First Vice-President of Congregation Machzikei Hadas and a member of the WJC JDCORPS Steering Committee.
Tamara currently works for Export Development Canada as a Senior Financing Manager.
