The new cohort of Lauder Fellows have started their year with Opening Seminar, where, after a wonderful shabbat together, they have been learning from WJC staff and other high-level speakers about what will make their year as Fellows successful. WJC Head of Strategy and Programs Daniel Radomski and JD Candidate Adela Cojab spoke about global Jewry and advocacy, respectively. The afternoon featured lunch and brainstorming with former Fellows, giving current Fellows the opportunity to brainstorm with the help and wisdom of peers who had recently developed their own work plans for the Fellowship.
On Monday, Fellows heard from speakers on a wide array of topics, from an introduction to diplomacy with Executive Director of the Executive Office, Lauren Rose, building a social media narrative with Executive Director of Communications Cory Weiss, to combating online hate and artificial intelligence with Yfat Barak-Cheney, the WJC Director of International Affairs.
Fellows also had the honor of speaking with WJC President Ronald S. Lauder about the problems facing their communities and what they can do to address them.
