On October 31, Lauder Fellow Ana Tuati helped plan the first-ever Sephardic Shabbaton in Lisbon, Portugal, with the Jewish Youth of Portugal (JYP) as part of her work plan. Ana brought together young Jews across the region for a transformative weekend celebrating Sephardic traditions and community. Her dedication to creating meaningful Jewish experiences ensured the event was a vibrant blend of culture, spirituality, and connection.
This milestone Shabbaton wasn’t just a gathering—it was a celebration of Sephardic heritage and a step toward strengthening Jewish identity in Portugal. From soulful prayers to delicious traditional meals, participants left inspired and united. Ana’s role as a Lauder Fellow continues to shine as she helps foster leadership and build bridges within Jewish communities worldwide.
